Itinerary
A warm welcome to the Pearl of Africa! Receive a briefing from your safari leader for your 14-day Gorilla & Chimpanzee Adventure across Uganda. You’ll then transfer to your pre-booked lodge in Murchison Falls National Park for evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
The journey takes 5–6 hours in a well-equipped 4x4 tourist vehicle, departing from Kampala via the Luweero–Masindi route. Along the way, enjoy a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking—a thrilling on-foot experience with close-up views.

Located in Northwestern Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park is the largest in the country, covering 3,840 sq. km. Begin your day with a 2–3 hour game drive through the Northern game track with high chances of spotting lions, elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, warthogs, antelopes, and various bird species.
Return to the lodge for lunch, then proceed at 2 PM for a boat tour along the Victoria Nile, heading to the base of the falls. Enjoy incredible views of hippos, crocodiles, and numerous aquatic birds.

After a hearty breakfast, depart for Kibale National Park—a 7–8 hour scenic drive via Hoima, Uganda’s oil city. Enjoy picturesque landscapes and local homesteads en route, arriving in Fort Portal Tourism City for a lunch break before proceeding to your lodge in Kibale.
Kibale is known for hosting 13 primate species, including over 1,500 chimpanzees.

Start your day with an early breakfast followed by a chimpanzee tracking session in Kibale National Park. After a briefing at Kanyanchu Tourist Center, embark on a 2–4 hour trek that includes one hour of observing and photographing the chimpanzees.
In addition to chimps, expect sightings of olive baboons, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and colobus monkeys. After a relaxed lunch, proceed to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a 2-hour nature walk, with opportunities to spot more primates and birds such as the Great Blue Turaco.

Depart Kibale for Queen Elizabeth National Park, a 2–3 hour drive. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon at the lodge. The park boasts over 95 mammal species and large herds of elephants and buffaloes.

Begin the day with a game drive along the Kasenyi Track, starting before sunrise. Expect sightings of lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, and numerous birds.
After lunch at the lodge, embark on a 2 PM boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you'll see large groups of hippos, crocodiles, and aquatic birds during this 2–3 hour trip.

Head to Kyambura Gorge for a morning chimpanzee trek lasting 2–4 hours, including one hour of observation. Along the way, spot various birds and primates.

Today is dedicated to tracking the endangered mountain gorillas. Your trek (2–6 hours) will take you through the Buhoma Sector, with one hour spent observing the assigned gorilla family. Take photos, learn about their behavior, and enjoy your packed lunch before returning for relaxation.

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest lake and home to 29 picturesque islands. Spend your day relaxing or swimming in its serene waters.
