Transfer from Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park, your first destination on the 8-day Gorilla Tour. Meet your driver-guide and begin the journey via the Kampala–Mityana–Mubende–Fort Portal route, approximately a 6-hour drive. Stop for lunch in Fort Portal, enjoying the cool, refreshing air of this beautiful tourism city. After lunch, enjoy a brief visit to the Toro Kingdom before checking in at your lodge in Kibale or around Fort Portal.

Begin your day with a cup of African tea or coffee, then proceed to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing. The chimpanzee trekking session lasts 2–4 hours and includes a guide. Chimpanzees share about 98% of their DNA with humans. You will observe their behavior, take photos, and potentially spot other primates and birds. After lunch, embark on a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland.

Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second-largest park, famous for its vast savannah plains and tree-climbing lions. The drive from Kibale takes 2–3 hours. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge, have lunch, relax, and later embark on a game drive along the Kasenyi track. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, antelopes, birds, lions, warthogs, and possibly leopards.

Enjoy an early morning cup of coffee and head for a 2–3 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Expect incredible views of hippos, crocodiles, birds, and more. After the cruise, check out from the lodge and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a 4–5 hour drive, with a chance to spot tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector.

After a hearty breakfast, depart with a packed lunch and bottled water for a gorilla trekking briefing at the park office. The trek starts at 8:00 am and lasts 2–6 hours. Enjoy one hour of close interaction with a gorilla family, take photos, and observe their behavior. Afterwards, return to the lodge, relax, check out, and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda. Spend the evening relaxing by the lakeshore and sharing safari experiences.

After breakfast, set off on a canoe trek to visit Upside Down Island, one of the 29 islands in Lake Bunyonyi. Spot bird species and enjoy beautiful scenery. After lunch, meet a local guide for the Batwa cultural experience in a nearby community. Learn about the Batwa pygmies, their culture, lifestyle, music, dance, and traditions.
